Officiating Experience: Completed 53 years as a licensed IHSAA football official in 2010; officiated 7 state high school finals as referee of crew (1973, 1980, 1983, 1986, 1990, 1996, 2000), 14 semi-finals, 21 regionals, and first 30 state tournaments including the inaugural tournament in 1973; served 20 years as a NCAA Division II referee, retiring in 1992; also officiated basketball 28 years.

Officiating Honors: Selected to officiate 1995 North-South All-Star game; selected for 2 NCAA Division II National Football Championships and 2 NCAA and NAIA play-off games; received Outstanding Football Official award from IHSAA 1994.

Special Recognition: Received "Distinguished Hoosier" award from Governor Frank O'Bannon; served 37 years as football assignment chairman for Calumet Athletic Officials Assocition; has assisted with Duneland Athletic Conference officials scheduling past 9 years; serves as an IHSAA football observer to improve officiating across the state.
