Professional Athletic Background: Seventh round draft choice of the Philadelphia Eagles as a defensive halfback in 1961; traded to Los Angeles Rams in 1965 where he played 2 seasons; played in 1965 and 1966 Pro Bowls; returned to Eagles in 1969 as player/coach; became a full time defensive backs assistant coach in 1970.
Special Recognition: Following coaching career became an NFL game analyst with CBS Sports and Co-Host on NFL Today for 15 years; Athletic Director at Idaho State University; Director of Athletics at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN; member of Board of Directors of the NCAA Foundation and is involved in numerous community and charitable projects; as a fitness enthusiast, served as an advisor to the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports' Youth Fitness Committee.
