Coaching Experience:  Volunteer assistant at Otter Creek MS in Terre Haute 1976; assistant football coach at Winamac Community HS 1977-1980, then head coach 1981-present, with a 202-132 record; WCMS basketball coach 1977; 5-year wrestling coach (4 as head coach) 1977-1980; track coach 2011.

Coaching Honors:  Head coach of North All-Stars 2013 and an assistant in 1991; 3-time Midwest Conference Coach of the Year and Loganland Area Coach of the Year; South Bend Tribune Class 2A Coach of the Year; won Cluster Championship 1983; 10-time Midwest Conference Champions; Sectional Champions 1985, 2000, 2012, 2013; Regional Champions 2000, 2013.

Outstanding Players Coached:  A total of 136 Midwest All-Conference players, 101 All-Area players (Loganland all classes, South Bend, 1A and 2A), 39 All-State players, 3 Indianapolis Colts All-Stars (2 academic, 1 player of week), and 10 North All-Stars - Troy Schultz, Mike Kwaitkowski, Eric Knorr, Mike Pugh, Brian Schultz, Kole Kroft, Tyler Roth, Eric Rausch, Parker Roth, and Chris Kasten.

Special Recognition:  Served as volunteer youth coach for soccer, Little League baseball, Babe Ruth baseball; 13-year 4-H Horse Club leader; member and past-president of Winamac Rotary Club; IFCA Past-President 2005 and has held several other Region 4 offices since 1990; served as IFCA membership chairman 23 years; helped secure sponsorship of the North-South All-Star MVP award through Braun Corporation.
