High School Honors:  3-year football letterman on offensive line; selected All-City, All-Lake County, All-Conference, and All-State; also a 3-year letterman in basketball and track.

College Attended:  Indiana University           Graduated:  1966

College Honors:  3-year offensive starter/letterman; played in College All-Star game, North-South All-Star game, and Blue-Gray All-Star game.

Professional Athletic Background:  Selected 4th overall in first round by Philadelphia Eagles 1966; also played for San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs; played professionally a total of 11 years with an injury ending his career. 

Professional Athletic Honors:  Started on Eagles offensive line that set a record by allowing only 8 quarterback sacks in one season; while with 49ers, team went to 5 play-off games and won 3 conference championships, 1970-1972.

Special Recognition:  After retiring from football, became a commercial real estate broker in California; has acted in a number of TV commercials and movies; member of Screen Actors Guild; involved with a 49er alumni charity that raises money for SF Bay Area youth sports groups, "Caring for Kids."
