Coaching Experience:  Indianapolis Public Schools #67 Junior High School football coach 1970-1971; Indianapolis Cathedral HS assistant football coach 1972-1979; Eastern Hancock HS head football coach 1979-1989; Danville HS head football coach 1989-2006; retired from high school coaching/teaching in 2006; assistant coach at Ohio Northern University since 2006. 

Coaching Honors:  At Cathedral - state runner-up 1973, 1976, and 3 times city champions; at Eastern Hancock - Class 1A State Champions 1985; 5 Sectional Championships 1983-1985, 1987-1988; Big Blue River Conference Champions 1980; at Danville - Class 2A State Runner-up 1999; 2 Regional Championships 1999-2000; 4 Sectional Championships 1993-1994, 1999-2000; 10 Conference Championships 1990, 1993-1995, 1998-2002, 2005; North-South All-Star coach 1986 and 2000; career record of 224-84.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Mark Clayton, Miami Dolphins; Tom Profitt and Tom Zupancic, Indianapolis Colts.

Special Recognition:  Indiana Football Coaches Association - Region 6 Director, co-founder Indiana Option Camp, President 1994, Distinguished Service Award 1995, and member of Rating Board; Indiana Football Hall of Fame Founders Award; member of IFHOF Board of Directors; has directed IFHOF golf outing.
