High School/College Officiating Experience:  Began officiating in Ohio high school football and basketball in 1967; relocated to Fort Wayne in 1971; President of Northeastern Indiana Athletic Officials Association 1975-1977; refereed 12th Annual IFCA North-South All-Star Game at Bloomington 1978; refereed in 2 IHSAA Championship Games, 1978 Class A and 1983 Class 4A; worked Indiana small college football 1975-1983; selected to officiating staff of Mid American Conference and Big Ten Conference 1984; worked in Big Ten 5 seasons with 3 post-season bowl assignments; in 2005-2006, celebrated his 39th season as a high school basketball official, with 36 Sectionals, 24 Regionals, 8 Semi-States, and 3 State Finals (1999, 2003, 2006).

NFL Officiating Experience:  Started officiating for NFL in 1989; continues to work as a head linesman in his 22nd season in 2010; during this time, worked 19 post-season assignments, including 5 consecutive Conference Championships 1999-2004; officiated in 1998 AFC Championship Game and 1999-2001 and 2004 NFC Championship Games; also worked as a referee in NFL-Europe 1999-2001.

Special Recognition:  Helped organize the Indiana Football Officials Association 2001; served on IFOA Advisory Board; treasurer of the National Football League Referees Association and Professional Football Referees Association Charities; named IHSAA and NFOA Boy's Basketball Official of the Year in 2005; self-employed as a manufacturers representative, sales consultant, and sales manager.

Family:  Wife, Nicki; children, Brett and Brandon; 5 grandchildren.
