High School Honors:  All-State and All-Conference in football as a running back; led team to conference championship senior year

College Attended:  Taylor University              Graduated:  1974

College Honors:  3-year football starter (2 years as offensive back and 1 year as defensive safety)

Coaching Experience:  Varsity assistant football coach Adams Central 1974-1976; head coach at Adams Central 1977-2008 (32 years); winning percentage of .632 (235-136); play-off record of .716 (63-25).

Coaching Honors:  North All-Star assistant coach 1998, 2000; Class 1A Football Coach of the Year; won 6 ACAC titles, 16 Sectional Championships, 10 Regional Championships, 1 Semi-State Championship, and 1 State Championship;

Outstanding Players Coached:  John DeVoss, SMU, starting receiver; Quinn Hirschy, Taylor University, starting fullback; Curt Garwood, St. Francis, starting tight end; Stan Hill, Earlham, starting center; Ked Hirschy, Taylor University, starting defensive end.

Special Recognition:  Inducted into Taylor University Hall of Fame 2009; continues as Athletic Director at Adams Central.
