High School Attended:  Pontiac                    Graduated:  1929

High School Honors:  Lettered in football, basketball, and baseball; attended and graduated from Culver Military Academy 1931; played on undefeated football team 1930; voted by cadets "Best All-Around Athlete."

College Attended:  University of Michigan      Graduated:  1935

College Honors:  Only fifth man in UM history to win 9 letters in 3 years of varsity competition; starting fullback on 1932 Big Ten Champions and 1933 National Champions; captain of baseball team.

Coaching Experience:  Coached three sports at Culver Military Academy - football 1935-1968, basketball 1935-1961, baseball 1935-1961; football team undefeated in 1936 and 1958.

Coaching Honors:  Coached 100 victories in three sports - football 138-80-4, basketball 211-137, baseball 105-76; had a total of 454 victories, 293 losses, and 4 ties.

Special Recognition:  Named Alumni Director of CMA in 1961 and served in that capacity until 1974; Major in US Army, serving in the South Pacific 1942-1946.

Family:  Wife, Myra; children, Bruce and Russell II.

Major Oliver passed away on December 19, 1974.
