High School Honors:  Varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball 1939 and 1940; All-State Halfback 1940.

Served in US Army in South Pacific 1943-1945

College Attended:  University of Notre Dame        Graduated:  1948

College Honors:  Varsity football letters 1942, 1946, 1947; National Champions 1942, 1946, 1947; holds record for longest touchdown run from scrimmage of 92 yards vs. University of Southern California 1947; selected Chicago Tribune All-Star Team 1948; drafted by Chicago Bears in 1946 but opted to return to ND to finish college career.

Professional Career:  Defensive and offensive halfback for Chicago Rockets AAFC 1948, Chicago Hornets AAFC 1949, Buffalo Bills AAFC 1949-1950, and Baltimore Colts NFL 1950.

Special Recognition:  Inducted in first class of the Hammond Sports Hall of Fame 1987.
