High School Honors:  National Quarterback of the Year 1989; National Offensive Player of the Year; Student Athlete of the Year 1989; Gatorade Indiana Player of the Year and Midwest Region Player of the Year; Parade Magazine and USA Today 1st Team All-American; Indiana All-State; Phil Eskew Mental Attitude Award; Indiana Region 2 Most Valuable Player; set 17 GHS football records.

College Attended:  University of Notre Dame   Graduated:  1993

College Honors:  While starting, team record was 29-7-1; 3 Bowl victories; single season touchdown record at 18 and named co-MVP 1991; scored most points running and passing (350) in ND history; first in TDs at 41 during ND career; 2nd all-time in total offense, completions, and passing yards.

Professional Athletic Background:  2nd overall pick in NFL draft; played 12 years in NFL for Seattle, Chicago, Green Bay, NY Jets, San Francisco, Oakland, and Detroit.

Professional Athletic Honors:  NFL rookie record for attempts, completions, and yards; started every game as a rookie.

Special Recognition:  Active coaching in Pop Warner League in San Diego area; followed father, Ken Mirer (1994), into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
