College Honors:  Varsity football and basketball 1957-1959; Athlete of the Year 1959; basketball Honorable Mention All-Pacific Coast Conference 1959; football College All-Star game in Chicago and East-West Shrine game in San Francisco 1960.

Professional Athletic Background:  Drafted by Cleveland Browns 1959; 9 years in NFL as defensive tackle for Cleveland Browns 1960, Minnesota Vikings 1961-1965, New York Giants 1966, and Washington Redskins 1967-1968.

Special Recognition:  Selected by sportswriters and National Football Foundation as a member of All-Time All-Northwest Football Team; inducted into Hall of Fame, Seattle Chapter 1977; selected to University of Idaho Hall of Fame in 2008, honoring the Top 100 Athletes in the last 100 years.
