College Honors:  Twice selected as team MVP; IU's all-time leader in both passing yardage and passing touchdowns until 1980; still 8th on all-time yardage list and 3rd in passing scores; career 1,336 yards passing and 11 TDs; quarterback for Rose Bowl team 1968; Academic All-Big Ten; Academic All-American; National Honor Scholar; recipient of prestigious Hoosier Award.

Special Recognition:  Governor Mitch Daniels' Senior Counsel and Chief of Staff 2005-2007; has served on IU Board of Trustees for 18 years; Vice-President of Board 1988-1994; chaired two IU Presidential Search Committees resulting in selection of Presidents Tom Ehrlic and Myles Brand.
