High School Honors:  4-year track and field; 4-year basketball; 4-year football with 3 years as a starter; football and track team captain; Junior All-State 1966; Senior All-State 1967; Bloomington Herald Top 50 All-Stars; Indiana North All-Star Team 1968.

College Attended:  Indiana State University   Graduated:  1972

College Honors:  Athletic scholarship; 3-year starter on offensive line and linebacker; Most Valuable Freshman; team co-captain.

Coaching Career:  41 year coaching career at Hobart HS; assistant varsity football coach and coached JV and frosh teams to record of 197-74-1; head wrestling coach with 236 dual meet wins; assistant track coach.

Coaching Honors:  11 Semi-State Championships and 4 State Championships as assistant football coach; 5 Conference Wrestling Championships; 3-time Conference Wrestling Coach of the Year; State Wrestling Coach of the Year; took 54 boys to State wrestling finals, with 8 State Champions; 18 State track qualifiers in shot and disc.

Special Recognition:  41 year teaching career for School City of Hobart; selected Hobart's Teacher of the Year 6 times; inducted into Indiana Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame.
