High School Honors:  2-letter winner in football, basketball, and track; captain of football team 1931; 2nd Team All-Conference; Honorable Mention All-State; 1st Team All-Sectional in basketball; Honor Roll academics 4 years; student council, Hi-Y, Latin Club, and high school band 4 years.

College Attended:  Indiana University          Graduated:  1937

College Honors:  Football letter winner 3 years; injured during senior year; assistant freshman football coach while working toward degree; also lettered one year in basketball.

Coaching Experience:  Twenty-eight years as teacher and coach at Goshen HS; head football coach at Goshen 1942-1959; coaching record of 69-61-12; placed many players on All-Conference teams.

Special Recognition:  Active member of First Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon, elder, and trustee; member of Elks Club and active member of Maple Crest Country Club; inducted posthumously into the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame 2007.

Family:  Wife, Madeline (deceased); children, Patricia (David), Jim, and Susan (Robert); numerous grandchildren.

Coach Yoder passed away November 2, 1999.
