College Honors:  Played 3 years varsity football.

Coaching Experience:  Coached basketball and baseball at Hoagland HS; assistant basketball coach at Fort Wayne Central HS 1943-1947; football head coach at Decatur HS 1947-1963, with a record of 45-98-6; also served as head basketball coach at Decatur 1947-1957.

Outstanding Players Coached:  John Bright, Bobby Milton, Paul Bienz, Murry Mendenhall, John Carey, and Max Ramsey at Central; Kenny Grant and Sam Bognerfrom at Decatur.

Special Recognition:  Former athletic director at Decatur and Bellmont High Schools; started the junior and senior high football programs at Bellmont; BHS football stadium renamed Bob Worthman Stadium in 1982; Indiana Athletic Director of the Year in 1977; Midwest Regional Athletic Director Runner-up 1977; served on Governor Matthew Welsh's Youth Council.
