High School Honors:  3-year starter at halfback and safety; 3 years All-Conference in Northern Indiana Conference; All-State on undefeated team ranked #2 in state 1967; voted Mr. Football in 1967; 4-year track letterman in 220 yard dash and 880 relay; 2-year basketball starter.

College Attended:  Fort Scott Junior College  1968-1969

                           Kansas University            Graduated:  1971

College Honors:  Junior College All-American at wide receiver and defensive back in 1968 and 1969; was total offense leader in nation in 1969 with 100+ catches for a 22 yard average, 30 yard punt return average, 25 yard kick-off return average, and 10 defensive interceptions; was top pass receiver for Kansas University 1970 and 1971.

Professional Athletic Background:  Played one-year semi-pro for Long Island Chiefs farm team of the New York Jets; started at both wide receiver and defensive back.

Coaching Experience:  Was Lawrence, KS, AAU basketball coach for 8 years.

Special Recognition:  Umpires for Lawrence community youth teams; works for Del Monte Products.
