Special Recognition: Distinguished Service Medal for Direction of United States Atomic Weapons Development 1951-1955; received Silver Star for Bravery at Remagen Bridge Head 1945, as well as Bronze Star; Sports Illustrated Silver Anniversary All-American 1957; General Manager, US Atomic Energy Commission 1955-1958; received Distinguished Service Award, US Atomic Energy Commission 1958; life member, American Society of Civil Engineers; Executive Vice-President, International Standard Electric Corporation 1958-1961; Executive Vice-President, Bulova Watch Company.
