Coaching Experience:  Assistant football coach at Cannelton HS 1968-1970; assistant and head football coach at Tell City 1971-1992; head coach at Connersville HS 1993-1999; head coach at Perry Central HS beginning in 2000; also coached basketball and baseball.

Coaching Honors:  Had a tournament record of 31-15 with 9 Sectional Championships, 7 Regional Championships, and 2 Semi-state Championships; held Sectional and Regional Championships in 3 classes; 2nd Runner-up Region 9 Coach of the Year in 2000, 1991, 1989, and 1988; Region 9 Runner-up Coach of the Year in 1990 and 1987; Region 9 Coach of the Year 1992 and 1986; Big 8 Conference Championships 1992, 1991 (co-champs), 1989, 1988; head coach of North/South All-Star game in 1993 and assistant coach of North/South All-Star game in 1988 and 2002; presenter at Evansville Coaches Association Football Clinic 1992 and 1987; first head coach for Hardee's Football Classic (Region 9 All-Star Game) 1990; Evansville Courier and Press Co-Coach of the Year 1988; 4 undefeated seasons in 2001, 1992, 1989, and 1988.

Outstanding Players Coached:  J.P. Seals (led state in receiving yardage in 1991); scholarship players Chris Spencer, Ben Cullen, Dan Quick, Chris Alvey, Sonny Labhart, and James Hubert.

Special Recognition:  IFCA Region 8 Director 1993-1994 and Region 9 Director 1990-1991; served on Ethics Committee Region 8 1998-2000; served on committee that wrote rules on tape exchange during State Football Tourney; chaired committee that revised requirements for selection to football academic all-state; served as member of board for Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
