Officiating Experience:  Became licensed by Indiana High School Athletic Association in 1961 in baseball, basketball, and football; officiated football beginning in 1961 and continues as umpire; has worked 31 sectional finals, 23 regionals, and 16 semi-state games; in 2011, officiated his 8th IHSAA State Football Finals; worked in the Indiana Collegiate Conference 1974-1981, officiating games for small Indiana colleges and universities; worked freshman football games at Notre Dame as well as scrimmage for at least 30 years; has officiated in the Blue-Gold Game; member of the Chain Crew for all Notre Dame home football games. 
 
Special Recognition:  Member of St. Joe Valley Athletic Officials Association since 1961 and serving as president for the past 20 years; has been vice-president of the basketball committee for 2 years and football committee for 2 years; has served as clinician at State Rules Clinics and at several local meetings and Certification Clinics; active in the Inter-City Catholic League since 1961, starting out as an official and becoming a league officer and liaison for officials for the league.
