College Honors:  Played football 3 years and baseball 2 years; received NCAA Play-off Baseball Medal 1960.

Coaching Experience:  Assistant football coach at Peru HS 1961-1964; head coach at Rensselaer 1964-1970; head coach at Martinsville 1970-1993; career record of 222-68; record makes him the 8th winningest coach in Indiana.

Coaching Honors:  Martinsville team had 5 undefeated seasons, 11 South Central Conference Championships, 4 Sectional Championships, and 2 State Semi-final appearances; 12-time recipient of South Central Conference Coach of the Year; Martinsville was 1992 State Passing Champion with the "run and shoot" offense; South All-Star assistant coach 1975; Ball State Alumnus Coach of the Year 1971-1972.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Dave Yeoman, Danny Epler, Dan Rhoden, Jerry Sichting, Mark Fishel, Ken Mask, Mike O'Neal, Dennis Mills, Bobby Payne, Joe Siderewicz, and Bob Denton.
