College Honors:  Football MVP and Captain; caught 11 passes for 226 yards in one game; named UPI Midwest Offensive Player of the Week in 1980; received Honorable Mention on Big Ten Team in 1979; ranked 8th with 92 receptions, 6th in receiving with 1,515 yards, and 8th in receiving touchdowns; career all-purpose yards of 3,232, ranking him 7th; longest kick-off return of 93 yards against Iowa in 1976.

Professional Athletic Background:  Signed as free agent with Chicago Bears in 1981 and spent 1 1/2 years with the Bears on injured reserve.

Special Recognition:  Served as athletic director at Northwood High School for  several years; member of the Elkhart County Hall of Fame.
