Coaching Experience: Assistant coach at Bishop Chatard HS 1978-1982 and head coach 1983-1986; head coach at Plainfield HS 1987-1990 and 1997-2005; assistant coach at Franklin College 1991-1996; retired after the 2005 season at Plainfield.

Coaching Honors: Teams were 2A State Champions 1983, 1984; 4A State Finalist 2000; Semi-State Champions 1983, 1984, 2000; Regional Champions 1983, 1984, 1986, 2000; Sectional Champions 1983, 1984, 1985, 2000; Mid-State Conference Champions 2000-2002 Indianapolis Star Super Team Coach of the Year 2000; Indiana Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame South All-Star head coach 2001; 2-time Bloomington Herald-Telephone Coach of the Year; 2-time “Faith, Family and Football” Coach of the Year.

Special Recognition: Football coaching runs in the family with son, Brent, coaching at Plainfield, son, Daniel, coaching at Ben Davis, and son-in-law, Nick Tabacca, coaching at Wake Forest University.

Family: Wife, Diane; children, Brent (wife Mary - deceased), Daniel (wife Hannah), Alyssa (husband Nick); 7 grandchildren.
