High School Attended:  Evansville F. J. Reitz Graduated:  1942

High School Honors:  Played quarterback and blocking back; received Kiwanis Award 1941.

College Attended:  Evansville College          Graduated:  1950

College Honors:  4-year letterman in football as a fullback; 3-year letterman in track.

Coaching Experience:  Freshman coach at Evansville Central 5 years; 1 year as reserve coach at Central; head coach at Evansville North HS 1956-1975, starting the program at the new school; also coached golf 3 years at Central; at North, head wrestling coach 6 years, head track coach 5 years, and girls golf coach; retired from coaching in 1975.

Coaching Honors:  North was City Champion 2 times and SIAC Champion 2 times; head coaching record was 102-73-4; had only 4 losing seasons in 20 years.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Had more than 50 All-City players and 5 All-State players - Jeff Gore, Mike Madriaga, Steve Skupas, Ken Bargo, and Dean Volkman; Mike Madriaga was also Honorable Mention All-American.

Special Recognition:  Inducted into the University of Evansville Athletic Hall of Fame in 1977.
