High School Honors:  Two years All-State (AP & UPI); High School All-American (Scholastic Coach) 1960; played on two undefeated high school teams 1958 and 1960; in four years, team lost only twice; Most Valuable Lineman 1959 and 1960. 

College Attended:  Purdue University            Graduated:  1965

College Honors:  Most Valuable Player and outstanding freshman lineman by vote of freshmen teammates; started as a sophomore and lettered three years; was smallest guard in Big 10 for 3 years; played under Ernie Zwalen and Jack Mollenkopf.

Coaching Experience:  Graduate assistant at Purdue 1965-1966; assistant coach at North Central HS 1969-1974; head coach at North Central 1975-1991, retiring from coaching at the end of the 1991 season.

Coaching Honors:  Record at North Central was 126-53.
