High School Honors:  2-way starter on a 7-2-1 junior year team and 9-1 senior year team; given the Most Improved Lineman Award as a senior.

College Attended:  Tarkio College, Missouri Graduated:  1960

College Honors:  Lettered in football all four years.

Professional Athletic Background:  Invited to try out with Winnepeg Blue Bombers in 1960, but decided to go into coaching.

Coaching Experience:  Ohio City, Liberty Junior High; Indian Lake, Lakeview, OH, 1960-1965; Cannelton City Schools, IN, 1966-1971; South Gibson School Corporation, IN, 1971-1979; Warrick County School Corporation, IN, Tecumseh HS 1974-1996; career record of 153-131-3 as a head coach; retired from coaching in 1996 after 36 years coaching, 27 as a head coach.

Coaching Honors:  IFCA Region 9 All-Star Coach 1981, 1992; ranked top 10 nearly every year at Tecumseh; teams were in play-offs 1984-1987, 1991, 1994-1995; Sectional and Regional Champions in 1991 and 1995.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Paul Gunn, Lynn Spencer, Ray Wallace, Shelby Hess, Justin Hess, Adam Hess, Greg Blair, Keith Buse, and Kaleb Buse.

Special Recognition:  All-Star Chairman, Region 9; active Indiana Football Coaches Association member 1979-1996.
