College Honors:  Selected All-Big 10 in 1963 and 1964; named by American Football Coaches as one of their 11 First Team players; received the Balford Award for Athletic Excellence in 1965.

Professional Athletic Background:  Drafted by Detroit Lions and New York Jets; signed with Lions in 1965 as a running back; played 5 years with the Lions; played with Baltimore Colts 1970-1972; retired at end of 1972 season.

Professional Athletic Honors:  Leading rusher and scorer in 1967 with Detroit Lions; played on 3 Central Division Championship teams and one NFL Championship team - Colts over Dallas Cowboys 16-13 in Super Bowl V in 1970, in which he was the leading rusher .

Special Recognition:  Inducted into the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame June 12, 2008; after retiring from NFL, bought the Clark Equipment Company, Brown Trailer Divison in Detroit, and became a Great Dane dealer, one of the largest truck-trailer manufacturers in the United States.
