High School Honors:  A 3-year starter in football; started as offensive and defensive tackle on 1973 State Football Championship Team; started as fullback and line backer on 1975 State Football Championship Team; member of the All-Catholic Football Conference junior and senior years; one of the Kiwanis Athletes of the Year; played in the North-South All-Star game 1975; Parade All-American Linebacker 1975; 3-year starting forward in basketball; also lettered in baseball and track.

College Attended:  Purdue University            Graduated:  1980

College Honors:  4-year letterman and starter as defensive linebacker at Purdue; named Midwest Player of the Week and Chevrolet Defensive Player of the Game several times; started in 1978 Peach Bowl and 1980 Astro Bluebonnet Bowl; still holds Purdue’s career tackle record from 1979.

Professional Athletic Background:  Played with the Cleveland Browns 3 years.
