College Honors:  Time Magazine and Pro Coaches All-American 1968; selected to play in East-West Shrine Game and the Chicago Tribune All-Star Game as a linebacker 1968.

Professional Athletic Background:  Selected in 3rd round of 1968 NFL draft by Minnesota Vikings; played as a linebacker for Vikings 1968-1970; traded to St. Louis Cardinals in 1971, then to Houston Oilers in 1973; returned to St. Louis and retired in 1974 due to injury.

Professional Athletic Honors:  Played on three Central Division Championship teams and one NFL Championship team, which lost to Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl IV in 1970.
