College Attended:  University of Tulsa         Graduated:  1952

College Honors:  All-Missouri Valley 1950-1952; All-American 1951, 1952; team MVP1952; played in Gator Bowl 1952.

Professional Athletic Background:  Played with Pittsburgh Steelers 1953-1956, San Francisco 49ers 1957-1958, Green Bay Packers 1958, Baltimore Colts 1959-1961, Buffalo Bills 1962-1963, and Denver Broncos 1964; career was interrupted with service in the Army where he was able to play football; coached in the NFL 1965-1978 with Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and Denver Broncos, retiring in 1978.

Professional Athletic Honors:  All-Pro while with Steelers in 1953; All-Army at Fort Sell, OK, in 1954 and 1955; All-Pro with 49ers in 1957; All-Pro with Bills in 1962.

Special Recognition:  After football, began a career as a building contractor and developer in Georgia; was inducted into the Tulsa Hall of Fame in 1983.

Family:  Wife, Norine; children, Robert, Linda, Dolores.
