High School Honors:  Senior Class Vice-President; awards in football, basketball, and track; All-State linebacker 1952; leader of undefeated team in 1952; played for North in North-South All-Star Game.

College Attended:  Purdue University           Graduated:  1960

College Honors:  High academic standing; distinguished student candidate; co-captain of football team; two-way player at linebacker and center; Honorable Mention All-American; team was ranked as nation's second leading defensive team in 1958.

Professional Athletic Background:  Tried out with Ottawa Rough Riders, surviving to last cut under Coach George Terlep.

Special Recognition:  Active in civic affairs; works with youth of community; coach of State Champion girls softball team; served as president of Warsaw Coil Company.

Family:  Wife, Bess; children, Nick, Carrie, and Cindy.
