College Attended: Ohio Wesleyan University  Graduated: 1939

College Honors: Gamma Phi Athletic Fraternity; voted Most Valuable Football Player by teammates 1938.

Coaching Experience: Sullivan, IN, HS 1934-1956; was athletic director and head football coach with record of 80-51-5; Indiana State University head football coach 1957-1965, with record of 32-37-0.

Coaching Honors: Sullivan HS Western Indiana Conference Championships 1953-1955; Wabash Valley Championships 1953-1955; state ranked on 5 separate occasions; Indiana State University Co-Champions of Indiana Collegiate Conference 1964; selected Indiana Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year 1959 and 1963.

Special Recognition: American Legion Award for Scholarship and Leadership 1931; member of Sigma Chi Fraternity; member of Indiana Collegiate Coaches Association; member of American Football Coaches Association; “Distinguished Service Award” in 1981 presented by ETA Sigma Gamma; National Health Service Honorary; Meritorious Award for Teaching Excellence at Indiana State in 1978-1979; honored with "Bill Jones Night" in Sullivan in 1976.
