High School Honors:  3-year starter at tailback and free safety; first team All-NIC as tailback and defensive back junior year; earned conference MVP; All-NIC first team as tailback; captain junior/senior years; scored 118 points as a junior; played in 1970 North-South All-Star game; selected for Bringle Award as outstanding senior athlete in Elkhart; lettered three years in track and was on three state championship mile relay teams; placed second in state senior year; captain of track team senior year; earned 6 sectional track titles; named to Indiana Track Hall of Fame; lettered 2 years as basketball guard; team captain senior year; helped Elkhart win sectional title; named to All-Regional Basketball Team.

College Attended:  Purdue University            Graduated:  1974

College Honors:  Lettered 3 years as a running back and wingback; competed in Blue-Gray All-Star game.

Professional Athletic Background:  Drafted in 4th round by Cleveland Browns.

Coaching Experience:  Assistant coach in football and 4 years as track coach at Elkhart HS; head football and track coach at Madison HS; went to Arizona University to serve as volunteer assistant coach under Dick Tomey.

Coaching Honors:  Hoosier Hills Conference Coach of the Year 1989.
