Coaching Honors:  At Lew Wallace - 5 City Titles; 2 Calumet District Championships; 2 Northeastern Indiana Titles; State Champions 1941; 93-26 overall HS record; at U of D - Missouri Valley Champions 1949; first to introduce split offense in state of Michigan; U of D held national college rank in rushing of 3rd in 1946 and 2nd in 1947; 35-21 overall college record; 128-47 overall coaching record, with a win percentage of .731.
