Professional Journalism Career:  Sportswriter for Indianapolis Times 1948-1965; sportswriter for Indianapolis News 1965-1991; Associate Director of Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame 1981-1991; covered 204 state high school finals in 13 sports; covered 5 Olympics - Rome 1960, Mexico City 1968, Munich 1972, Los Angeles 1984, Seoul 1988; US-accredited 1980 for Moscow Olympics but denied a visa 1984; covered 5 Pan-Am Games - Chicago 1959, Mexico City 1975, Puerto Rico 1979, Caracas 1983, Indianapolis 1987.

Professional Honors:  22 Sportswriting Awards; inducted into Indiana Track Hall of Fame and Wrestling Hall of Fame; Indiana Football Coaches Sportswriter of the Year.
