High School Attended:  Kokomo, IN             Graduated:  1953

High School Honors:  All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention.

Spent 1954-1956 in the Army and played football. 

College Attended:  Butler University             Graduated:  1959

College Honors:  Earned 4 varsity letters as an offensive lineman and defensive linebacker, playing in the days of one platoon football; became Butler's first football All-American in 1957; repeated the honor in 1958; was named MVP of the Indiana Collegiate Conference that same year; was captain of the football team during these years.

Special Recognition:  Was teacher and coach for 2 years in the Indianapolis Public Schools; had an outstanding career as a Sales Representative, advancing to District Sales Manager for Merck Co., retiring after 27 years.
