KEITH FIEDLER

High School Attended:  Woodlan, IN             Graduated:  1970

High School Honors:  All-County, All-State, Most Valuable Offensive Back, and State's Leading Scorer (31 TDs, 186 points, in 9 games); 4-year letterman in baseball, track, and basketball; received athletic grant from Franklin College for football, baseball, and track.

College Attended:  Franklin College             Graduated:  1974

                           IU-PUI and Butler  MS

College Honors:  Will B. Nelp Award for athletic ability, leadership, and scholarship, Franklin College’s highest athletic award; starter on 1970 Mineral Water Bowl Team; starter on 1972 NAIA Play-off Team; received the Football Mental Attitude Award; 1-year baseball letterman; 2-year track letterman; received State of Indiana - Distinguished Hoosier Award 1970; NAIA District 21 Honor 1973-1974. 

Coaching Experience:  Carmel HS coach for 31 years - defensive back coach and assistant defensive coordinator 1974-1984; defensive back-linebacker coach and defensive coordinator 1985-1996; head coach 1997 to retirement; also served as assistant track coach and reserve and assistant varsity baseball coach.

Coaching Honors:  North-South All-Star head coach in 2004; North-South All-Star assistant coach in 1995; 3-time Colts NFL Coach of the Week; 301 career wins (64 as head coach); tournament record as head coach of 18-8 and overall of 75-23; teams were State Runner-up in 1975 and State Champions in 1978, 1980, 1981, 1986, and 1989.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Mark Herrmann (Purdue U, NFL); Matt Elliot (Michigan, NFL); Mark Hagen (Indiana U, college coach); Bart Burrell (Purdue U); and, Shawn Heffern (Notre Dame).

Special Recognition:  IFCA President 2002-2003 and member of IFCA for over 30 years of service, receiving several IFCA honors over those years; honored by Carmel Clay Schools for 20 and 30 years of service; active in football camps, such as Bishop-Dullaghan Passing Camp, Belden Football Lineman Camp, and Carmel Football Camp.

Family:  Wife, Janis; daughter, Logan Cae, and son, Derek Allen.
