College Honors: Intercollegiate debating team 3 years; Yell Leader 3 years; editor of school paper for 1.5 years; senior class treasurer; president of ISU Athletic Association.

Coaching Experience: Assistant football coach to Don Ping; head football coach of Marshall Township, Marshall, IL, 1928; assistant to Charles Hopp at Marshall, IL; assistant to Elder Eberhart at Morton HS, Richmond, IN.

Special Recognition: Sportswriter, including football, with Terre Haute Star 1921-1922; first sports director for radio station WBOW in Terre Haute 1932; through 1940's, acted as sports director for radio station WKBV in Richmond; began first play-by-play account of Richmond HS football games; hired as Richmond HS Dean of Men in 1942, became assistant principal in 1945, then served as Richmond HS principal before returning to the Terre Haute area in March, 1953, where he joined the staff of ISU.

Family:  Mr. Farmer never married.

Mr. Farmer passed away May 22, 1991.
