High School Honors:  Earned 11 letters in football, basketball, and baseball; All-Conference in football, basketball, and baseball; co-captain and MVP in football and basketball.

College Attended:  Valparaiso University      Graduated:  1960
                            Ball State University  MS            1963       

College Honors:  Lettered in football and baseball 3 years. 

Coaching Experience:  Assistant football coach at Chesterton HS 1963 and at Central HS 1964-1967; head football coach at Central 1967-1970; head football coach at Fort Wayne Northrop HS 1970-1983; also served as assistant basketball and baseball coach at Chesterton 1963, and assistant basketball coach at Central 1964-1967; retired from coaching.

Coaching Honors:  Started football program at Northrop and Bruins were a power to be dealt with immediately; District Coach of the Year 1972; one of the coaches who guided Fort Wayne football into limelight in state of Indiana.  

Outstanding Players Coached:  Clarence Bullock of Michigan State University (1970) and Fred Arrington of Purdue University (1973) and Detroit Lions.

Family:  Wife, Janeann (deceased); children, Kent and Brent.
